Accessory Kit

The Sunamp Accessory Kit includes all of the basic plumbing accessories required for a Sunamp installation. The pack includes an Inlet Control Group valve, a 2 litre expansion vessel, a TMV, and a lever ball isolation valve. Instructions for the valves with technical information are included in the box.

Inlet Control Group
Pressure Reducing Valve
Reduces incoming mains pressure to a safe level for safe appliance function
Pre-Set to 3.5 Bar

Non-return valve (check valve)
Ensures unidirectional flow of water (prevents backflow)

Safety Relief valve (SRV) (aka. Mains back expansion relief valve (BERV))
Triggered if excess pressure build-up is present in the system (as a last resort if the expansion vessel becomes depressurised)
Pre-set to 6 Bar

Expansion Vessel (EV), 2L
Maintains System pressure to safe levels as water is heated and cooled, absorbing any extra pressure build-up.
Charge pressure pre-set to 3.5 Bar (must have the same charge pressure as the PRV pressure setting!)

Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV), 22mm
To reduce DHW outlet temperature to safe-to-use temperatures to avoid any scalding injuries.
Recommended setting: 45-55 °C

Lever Ball Isolation Valve, 22mm
Local isolator to stop any mains water flow into the local appliance to enable safe and adequate maintenance and service work when required.

Description

Sunamp Thermino 150 xPlus – Designed to produce domestic hot water and is heated indirectly by an ASHP, Solar PV, a Boiler, and backup Grid Electricity. This compatibility is now enabled by the Optimino Key’s. When combined with a charge timer and a variable electricity tariff, the Thermino xPlus range allows for low cost indirect water heating. The reduced size combined with the fact that the Sunamp does not need any venting allows for full flexibility in install location.

The Thermino 150 xPlus would typically be installed in a 1-2 bedroom property as a rule of thumb.

Note, the Sunamp is very heavy:

  • Tilting it beyond 45 degrees may damage the unit and void your warranty.
